Babel Fish IRL of the Day: Google Translate for Android now comes with a spiffy feature called “Conversation Mode” which can translate speech in real-time.
It’s in early Alpha, meaning it’s still a little wonky, but the gist is there, and the future for breaking culture barriers looks bright.

fuck me! what are you, like, some philosopher? How long did it take for you to come up with this Q? Interesting though.
15 months ago would take us back to… October 2009? This was a month before any “issues” started, and it was also my 18th birthday.
I would have October, November, December to revise for the January exams? And I have the KNOWLEDGE that I’ve traveled back in time and I know what’s going to happen?
Absolutely… I’d actually probably end it all there and then to be honest. That would fuck with her. And then I’d pass my exams, be on my way to uni in September 2010 and I wouldn’t be stuck here. Sounds perfect to me, got a time machine?
If I DIDN’T know what was going to happen to “us” I would obviously make the same mistake, wouldn’t I? I’d need some sort of… incentive? Or drive? Or hint? I don’t know… I reckon if I had Pam back in 2009, that would be enough drive.
Good question though. Thanks for making me think.
